I live in Belgium. A country known for chocolate, beer and the absence of a government. It is not known for beautiful summers, tropical temperatures or fantastic beaches. So what happens if you’re halfway in august and realize you only had a single day of sunny weather? You decide to make fun of it!
It’s straight forward: The answer is right there. No unnecessary bla-bla. We could’ve gone for the usual “blue text on a white“-page but we decided to make it a little more personal and stylish.

Together with Gwendolyn Matthys, I created this tiny website. I did most of the backend support and Twitter integration. Gwendolyn did the design and markup.
The status updates get pulled from the Twitter account. We update the site on a regular basis depending on the actual weather conditions. It’s fun to see people tweet out using the #ishetalzomer hashtag and share their summer-experience.
