Come look at our latest creation: The iJoke!
Published by Ronny on January 28th, 2010 in General. 1 commentI have been a Mac user for over 2 years and all of my close friends will somehow agree that turning Mac totally changed my computer experience. I haven’t run into that same kind of problems as I was when using Windows. I’m not complaining anymore about a very sluggish system etc (but I am complaining sometimes! We really need to get those SSD drives into those iMacs!). That means I really like what Apple creates, and I like how their products work for me.

The iPad. Doesn't it look like it were a stretched version of the iPhone?(Picture taken from Engadget.com )
So: to the point. If you haven’t heard about Apple’s last new big thing, you probably lived on another planet for the past couple of weeks. Yes, I’m talking about the amazing iPad! I could start by talking about what a great piece of engineering this probably is (that thing is pretty thin, and it has a pretty big display so my guess is that this wasn’t easy) but that just wouldn’t do justice at all. Why Apple is doing a good job not allowing the Flash Player to be on the iPhone
Published by Ronny on January 4th, 2010 in Flash, General. 8 comments
I’m going to get shot down for this. I can already feel the finger on the trigger of the sniper on the roof across the street, aiming at my head… I love Flash, I have been playing and creating with Flash ever since I was 17 years old. But…
In the past 2 years there have been numerous times when people expected (and were insanely excited about) a full in-browser Flash Player on the iPhone and while I was one of the people hoping it would happen only a few months ago, I’m not so certain anymore.
Everybody is saying that once Flash Player 10.1 will run in the browser on the iPhone, you will be enabled to have a ‘full web browsing’ experience. But how do you expect the ‘full experience’ on a mobile device (in this case the iPhone)? Read the rest of this entry »
Flash on the iPhone? Orly…? Ya. Rly.
Published by Ronny on October 5th, 2009 in Flash, General. 1 commentWell… Actually not…
But: If you are a Flash developer and you know how to compile a SWF then as off today* you can build native iPhone applications using your current AS3 knowledge. Does that sound familiar to you? Well it should because Adobe did the exact same thing when they first announced Adobe AIR.
Adobe just showed a Flash CS5 preview featuring a ‘compile for iPhone’ demo. (Watch a similar demo here) Read the rest of this entry »
Snow Leopard broke your Grabup? Create your own!
Published by Ronny on September 22nd, 2009 in General, download. 2 comments
About a year ago I bought GrabUp, a small application that sits in your menu bar, waiting for you to take a screenshot. Once you do so, it immediately takes the file and uploads it to my FTP server. When it’s done it copies the url to the screenshot to my clipboard. The simplicity might not impress but the workflow amazes the more.
However…
Ever since I got myself Snow Leopard GrabUp died on me: Whenever I take a screenshot GrabUp won’t upload it to the server anymore… And I’m not alone. Lot’s of users are experiencing this issue.
The people at GrabUp HQ probably don’t give a damn about their customers because they don’t seem to be working on an updated version.
So…
I’ve been looking for a replacement but nothing really compares to the power and yet the simplicity of GrabUp.
So what does a good developer do? Create his own workflow in Automator… I won’t go into the details of this. If you love GrabUp but Snow Leopard broke yours, this is a simple walkthrough to get a (free) GrabUp-like workflow running on your own FTP server

Nike+ : Tune Your Run
Published by Ronny on September 10th, 2008 in Flash, General. 9 comments
Read the rest of this entry »
